Brain Association Graph
Explore relations and links between neuroscience concepts
and search for semantically similar concepts.
Concept Category
This is a category which contains all brain concepts. Each kind of concept have a unique background color. Each leaf node in the category represents one concept. Each branch node is assigned a representative concept according to their semantic similarity. Left click on a leaf node or branch node can send the corresponding concept to Selected Concepts box. The semantic similarity is calculated by node2vec algorithm.Search
Search Results
Left click on the search result to send the concept to the Selected Concepts box.Selected Concepts
The concepts here are selected for further query. Left click on concepts from Concept Category, Search Results or Relation Graph to add them into the box. Left click on concept in the box to remove it. At most 20 concepts are allowed to be inside the box at the same time. Duplicated concepts are ignored.Note: At most 20 concepts can be selected at one time.
Check the kind(s) of concept you want to find:
neuron
transmitter
region
gene
disease
function
medicine
pathway
Search concepts which are semantically similar to the concepts in the Selected Concepts box.
If you do not want to search for specific type of concept, for example, neurons, just uncheck the NEURON checkbox.
At most 20 results are returned at the Search Results box.
The semantic similarity is calculated by node2vec algorithm.
If two concepts appear together in one sentence from pubmed article title and abstract,
we record this as one link between the two concepts.
Some synonyms are considered as well.
If there are at least one link between Selected Concepts,
If not, this button will return all links related to the first Selected Concept.
Relation Graph
This button generate a force-directed graph of Selected Concepts and concepts similar to them. Each node represents a concept, and each edge represents the links between concepts. The width of the edge is positively related to the number of links between two concepts. The size of the node is positively related to the total number of links related to the node. Drag the nodes to adjust the layout. Left click on the nodes or drag the nodes to add new concepts to the Selected Concepts box.Newly Extracted Relations
